Aerobic Dance: 8/24-8/28



Standards: 
Standard 1: Motor Skills and Movement Patterns.
Ex: High Knee Lifts, Straight Legs, Skips

Standard 3: Participates in Physical Activities Daily. 
Ex: Participation Assessment: The student must participate in physical activities from the beginning of class until the very end to receive full credit.

Standard 4: Achieves and Maintains a Health Enhancing Level of Fitness. 
Ex: Each student must achieve their fitness goals throughout the semester, maintain those goals, and then reach for higher goals. 

Monday
  • Warm-up- Cardiovascular exercises
  • Dynamic Stretching
  • Group Exercises: Flexibility and Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Group Work- Create an Aerobic Dance Routine
  • 4 minute assessment: Each group must have at least 4 minutes of their aerobic dance routine completed. (100pts)
  • Cool-down/Closing- Static Stretching & Review
Tuesday
  • Warm-up- Review Dynamic Stretching
  • Group Exercises: Flexibility and Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Group Work: Create an Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Cool-down/Closing- Static Stretching & Review
Wednesday
  • Warm-up: Cardiovascular endurance & Dynamic Stretching
  • Group Exercises: Flexibility, Core, and Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Group Work- Create an Aerobic Dance Routine 
  • Cool-down/Closing
Thursday
  • Warm-up: Cardiovascular Endurance & Dynamic Stretching 
  • Group Exercises: Flexibility, Core/Upper body and Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Group Work- Create an Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Cool-down/Closing
Friday
  • Warm-up: Cardiovascular Endurance & Dynamic Stretching 
  • Group Exercises: Flexibility, Core/Upper body and Aerobic Dance Routine
  • Group Work- Create an Aerobic Dance Routine
  • 6 Minute Assessment: Teacher Observation (100 pts)
  • Cool-down/Closing
